Spa Treatments Like Juvederm at Cedar Crest Spas and Clinics

Treatments like Juvederm Cedar Crest, Restylane, and Botox are popular treatments now for facial wrinkling. Once only available from a doctor’s office, Juvederm In Cedar Crest is now available at spas with skin aestheticians. Juvederm might be your answer to those fine lines in the face that begin to appear, especially around the eyes, and for treating facial wrinkles like the lines around the mouth. Juvederm is a filler that plumps up the skin and gives it a smooth, youthful appearance. Unlike the delivery of some dermal fillers, Juvederm Cedar Crest does not cause discomfort. The appointment is quick, and the results can last for as long as six months, sometimes longer for some patients.

Restylane is another type of filler that works particularly well on more severe facial wrinkling, like the lines that run perpendicular to the upper lip and the marionette lines that appear on either side of the mouth. Those are the lines that look like parentheses. Restylane contains hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that the body also produces naturally. The client may need a bit of anesthetic, but the swelling and redness should go away in only a couple of days.

Botox injections are yet another type of filler that contains a form of the botulism toxin, which causes paralysis. In this case, the Botox is delivered to temporarily paralyze nerves in the face that cause muscles to contract and which in turn causes facial wrinkling. Many patients ask for their forehead lines to be treated this way. They also receive Botox injections around the eyes, because when we smile, we develop natural lines in the face around the eyes. Botox treatments go quickly and should not even require any local anesthetic because it’s done with such a fine needle. It takes anywhere from three to seven days for the patient to see the full results, and results last anywhere from four to six months. Some side effects may include headaches or a little bit of eyelid drooping, but they can take over the counter pain relievers for the headaches, and any eyelid drooping should only last just a few weeks.
