Is your bedroom furniture outdated, worn in, grandma and grandpa’s old stuff? If so, it is time to upgrade. When we first were married, one way to save money was to inherit grandpa’s old furniture. As beautiful as it was, after a few years, it started looking “used” (clearly, grandpa didn’t live in it like we did!). Needless to say, after a few years of living in, on, under (we have kids) the furniture, it was time to look for updated, and well made furniture that could withstand some wear and tear.
So began our search for bedroom furniture. The apartment in Manhattan did have limited space, so built-in’s were definitely an option. Obviously, Manhattan is going to have a million and one places to purchase bedroom furniture. However, something we try to do as a family is purchase locally made items. One of the places we found was a Stylish Bedroom Furniture Manhattan based company, called Manhattan Cabinetry. I know, when you hear cabinetry, you instantly think kitchen and bathrooms. Well, they do that too, but they offer beautiful bedroom furniture as well. With the limited space we had, we wanted to optimize that space so we didn’t have such a big “footprint”, if you will, from the furniture in our bedroom.
Manhattan Cabinetry’s motto is “if you can dream it, we can build it”. From jump, we received the best customer service imaginable. Having been in business for as long as I’ve been alive, our expectations of these guys were high. This company has grown from a 3 person endeavor, to now having a huge showroom, and an even bigger factory in Long Island. First, they had us draw up a floor plan of our bedroom, and what we were going to put in these cabinets. We then met with a consultant, who took care of us from there. Everything was made to our specifications, and the final outcome turned out more beautiful than we could have imagined. We liked that they used better materials, and that everything was manufactured right there in Long Island.
