Anti Weld Spatter Coating: Too Protection And More

Today, the field of welding is highly modernized. Welding equipment is technologically capable of preventing or reducing many issues such as weld spatter. However, working in a shop comes with its own challenges. What works in the perfect test laboratory is not always applicable to a working shop. Various factors affect the equipment making it more prone to weld spatter resulting in welders and their employers turning to viable solutions including an anti weld spatter coating.

Three Possible Solutions to Spatter

Three possible solutions are available to help welder reduce the amount of spatter from MIG and other welding equipment. These are:

• Manual Cleaning: Removing the spatter in this way is labor intensive and causes delays in production

• Temporary Anti-Spatter Spray: This is a temporary measure only. It serves the purpose but can create messy issues with the weld fixtures. Moreover, some anti weld spatter sprays may be only partially or somewhat effective.

• Permanent Anti Weld Spatter Coating: This coating is applied to ensure permanent protection against weld spatters.

Of the three possible options, the permanent anti-weld spatter coatings provide the best solution.

Benefits of Anti Weld Spatter Coatings

Permanent anti-spatter coatings provide the welding equipment and fixtures, as well as the employees from the problems arising from weld spatter. These include three main ones:

• Reduced downtime resulting from spatter removal

• Decreased damage to weld fixtures from manual removal with chisels, hammers, etc.

• Quality issues

All are preventable by using a permanent and not a temporary anti-weld-spatter coating or manual means.

Anti Weld Spatter Coating: Protecting your Equipment

If you want to protect your equipment, decrease quality problems and ensure enhanced worker safety, address the issue of weld spatter. While options include manual removal and temporary sprays, these are not the best solution. Use, instead, a permanent anti weld spatter coating for long lasting, effective results.
