In pursuit of maintaining high industry standards, the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association offers online Building inspection Training. Successful completion of these courses leads to Building Inspector Certifications.
Members of the CCPIA, which is an organization of commercial property inspectors in North America, do building inspections for owners and lessees. Their inspections include a building’s HVAC, roof, structure and foundation, plumbing and electrical systems.
In performing this important work for businesses and non-profits, the CCPIA expects its members to be competent. The organization offers two courses for people on the path to Building Inspector Certifications. They are Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Both of these courses follow guidelines set by the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties.
The goal of the Standards of Practice course is to equip students to conduct commercial property inspections. In this Building Inspection Training, students learn which infrastructure systems and components must be inspected and which are to be excluded from the inspection.
This course is in nine sections, and it includes readings and videos. After each section, there is a quiz. Upon the successful completion of this Building Inspection Training, students can download a Certificate of Completion.
The Code of Ethics course includes videos. Students learn how to ethically conduct inspections, and as well as the intricacies of the CCPIA Code of Ethics. The course also teaches them how to navigate situations that may contradict the carrying out of ethical standards. After earning a passing grade, students can download a Certificate of Completion.
The CCPIA wants its members to be skilled professionals who conduct their work with integrity. That’s why the organization makes these Building Inspector Courses available.
