Dr. Pandwe Gibson is not new to being an innovator. In the past, she was the co-founder of a Charter Management Organization, and the first of its kind in the Southern United States. She saw a need for a more comprehensive and cohesive way for charter schools to work together to improve student learning, and she had amazing success in including 16 schools in the Charter Management Organization ReNEW by the end of the third year.
The Ecotech Visions Approach
Dr. Gibson had a clear vision for what she wanted to offer small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Miami Gardens area of Florida. She wanted to create a place where traditional “Mom and Pop” business owners could come to gain the expertise, support, and the training to turn their traditional businesses into innovative and cutting edge companies.
The focus of all of the businesses that are growing and expanding through working with Pandwe Gibson of Ecotech is green manufacturing and technology. To provide this type of support, Dr. Gibson has partnered with several leading schools and businesses with a focus on green manufacturing and technology.
Through this partnership, as well as the physical resources offered at Ecotech Visions, small companies have access to coaches, trainers, mentors, and expertise, helping them not just to grow but to advance their green ideas into a very welcoming marketplace.
To date, EcoTech Visions has assisted over 75 local companies to meet their goals of moving into green manufacturing. Offering prototyping labs, office space, and resources, this is a much-needed addition to the Miami area.
