If the idea of sharing a bedroom with someone you don’t know and sharing a bathroom with 100 strangers isn’t right for you, getting OSU off campus housing may be the solution. You will have more privacy if you get an apartment or townhome that you can share with just one or two other roommates.
Many who live on campus find that doing simple things becomes frustrating quickly. If the kitchen is filled with lots of other students, making a meal can become a nightmare. Even using the microwave may require you to wait an hour or more. However, when you live in OSU off-campus housing, you will have a full-size kitchen that includes modern appliances. Just you and your roommates will share this living space.
Another benefit of living in off-campus housing is that you get to enjoy amenities that are not associated with campus life. Your apartment building will likely feature common areas where you can mingle with other students, hit the fitness studio, or grab a cup of coffee. You may have access to a pool and a hot tub. There will be plenty of spaces where you can study by yourself or where you can engage in group study sessions.
There is no curfew to abide by when living in your own place. You can feel confident in the security, but you don’t have to worry about being monitored.
