How to Extend Kanger Battery

When you have a vape device that takes batteries, one of the first things on your mind will be the cost of regular battery replacement and the types of batteries that can work with your device. Some of the top vape batteries on the market include Kanger, which makes the EVOD Ego Battery as well as other products. Extending the life of your Kanger battery requires a few simple and common sense tips.

1. Use it or lose it. The same with most lithium-ion batteries in devices like your camera or phone, the Kanger battery likes to be used, continually charged and discharged in a series of cycles that actually extend its life versus not using it at all. If you are going to be away from your device for long periods of time, then the best thing to do is remove the battery and heating element from the rest of the device, making sure your battery is fully charged before you do so.

2. Store it well. The Kanger battery is also like any other lithium-ion battery in that it prefers moderate temperatures, not too hot or cold. Don’t put the battery in the freezer or keep it in the direct sun, and of course, don’t go swimming with a device taking a Kanger battery.

3. Recharge your battery. Kanger batteries do like to be used, but they don’t necessarily like to be drained entirely before a recharge. Try and charge it well before it reaches below 50% battery life. You can recharge every night if you need to.

4. Keep it clean. Vaping does involve liquids and resins and the buildup of moisture, made even more pronounced in humid climates. If you keep your device clean, make sure you also clean the contacts so that your Kanger battery connects with the device the way it is meant to.
