What to Look for When Searching for Student Housing in Tempe

If you are touring Arizona State University student apartments, consider the apartment features as well as the community activities. Many units are within walking distance of the college, and you can find everything from a studio to a five-bedroom setup.

Rooms

A furnished unit means you can get right to your studies, and a place should come with more than just a bed and a chair. Many spaces come with dressers, student desks, couches, and tables. Keep an eye out for modern fixtures and entertainment centers. A few of the buildings by Arizona State University also have spectacular views.

Community

For mental health reasons, taking some time away from the books is a good idea. One of the easiest ways to take a break is by visiting an in-building clubhouse, game room, or fitness center. Having a gym and yoga room in your building means you can stay fit without wasting time finding parking at a separate facility. If you like to play outdoor sports, some centers have volleyball courts too, and a compound with a pool allows you to cool off, exercise, or work on your tan.

Security

A secure building is a must. Look for electronic latches and ask about individual bedroom locks. The rooms should come equipped with smoke detectors, and whenever possible, select a place with a live-in manager. These people add an additional level of security, and if anything should break, the property manager is easy to get a hold of.
